Saints Icon Michael Lewis Collaborates with JAMNOLA® for Major Fundraising Event
This ticketed event, happening on February 5th from 2-6pm, will raise funds for underserved families and at-risk youth.
NEW ORLEANS, LA (FreePR.org) -- As anticipation builds for the Big Game, celebrated New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Lewis is joining forces with JAMNOLA, the vibrant cultural hub of New Orleans, to drive fundraising efforts and raise awareness for his newly established Michael Lewis Foundation. This dynamic partnership will unfold on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM, allowing attendees to lend their support to underprivileged families and at-risk youth while immersing themselves in the city’s rich tapestry of art, music, food, and performance through the lens of over 30 local creators.
The Michael Lewis Foundation, which Lewis founded, is committed to delivering essential resources and assistance to disadvantaged families and at-risk youth through a variety of sports and empowerment programs. Lewis, whose journey to the NFL was anything but conventional, credits similar recreational initiatives for instilling discipline and guiding him toward his professional achievements.
"Having grown up in New Orleans, I can attest to the profound impact that community programs can have on young lives," shared Michael Lewis. "Through this collaboration with JAMNOLA, we aspire to create new pathways for the emerging talent within our city."
On February 5, 70% of ticket sales proceeds at JAMNOLA will directly benefit the Michael Lewis Foundation. Guests will have the chance to meet the legendary Saints athlete in person and explore JAMNOLA's 17 exhibits, along with their special “Touchdown 504” experience running from February 1 to February 10. This activation includes four interactive photo stations designed specifically for football enthusiasts, featuring:
Murals by Culture Bearer Ivan Watkins representing New Philadelphia and Kansas City
The "A Saints Dream" installation by artist THEARTISTJADE, where fans can snap selfies showcasing their best griddy dance moves
A photo op titled “Be the Whistle Monsta”
Participants can tag their selfies and reels with @jam.nola and #Touchdown504 for a chance to win a football signed by Cam Jordan
"We are excited to partner with Michael Lewis and his foundation during this thrilling time in New Orleans," remarked Jonny Liss, founder of JAMNOLA. "Our interactive experience serves as a perfect setting to celebrate the city’s culture while contributing to a cause that will positively influence our community for years to come."
This partnership arrives at a timely moment, coinciding with the growing excitement surrounding the upcoming game. The event at JAMNOLA offers a distinctive opportunity for both locals and visitors to engage with the city's lively culture while making a meaningful contribution to its future.
